Foreclosures and sheriff sales in New Jersey, which were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March, have started to resume in some counties:
- Ocean County resumed sheriff sales in October.
- Middlesex County resumed sheriff sales in November, using alternate locations.
- Morris County will resume sheriff sales in December, using alternate locations.
- Burlington County has no information on their website.
It is important to note that with these exceptions most counties are still not scheduling or holding sheriff sales. If you are not sure if your county is resuming sheriff sales, call or check your County Sheriff’s website.
